God's Good News For You
A Savior Needed
Sin is anything that we think, say, or do that displeases God. The Apostle Paul would write that everyone has sinned and so consequently everyone is a sinner. Sin also separates us from a right relationship with God . So we are all sinners who have been separated with God because of our sinfulness.
Romans 3:23-For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.
Isaiah 59:2-But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear
A Savior Provided
As a result of sin, we have earned the wrath of God and we are unable to save ourselves. In order to satisfy the justice of God, God himself has taken action on our
behalf. The result of sin was separation from God, but the love of God seeks to bring us into a right relationship with him. As a consequence of God's love, a savior has been provided and through God's grace we can now be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:21-God made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
Romans 5:8-But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us
A Savior Received
God, knowing our need for a savior, has provided this savior as the only way to have a right relationship with him. Receiving the Lord Jesus is the only way that we can have a right relationship with God.
John 14:6-Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Acts 4:12-There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people, and we must be saved by it.
Admit your sins
1 John 1:9-If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Believe in the effectiveness of Christ’s Work
John 3:16-For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only son, that everyone who believes on him will not perish but have eternal life
Confess Jesus as Lord
Romans 10:9-10- If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.
